Aman and David,
This is far more like what I would expect, a $5 plan seems to suit most
users, and gives them comfortably room for extra walks or even the odd bit
of surfing whilst out and about.

AMan,
I use Wayfinder in Ontario and my limited plan of $5 has been sufficient to
cover all data requirements of Wayfinder. I even browse a bit on the
internet and still haven't exceeded my 5 meg limit a month.
David.

Hi, Neil.
You say
In any event most typical users only use roughly 2 - 3 megabytes. Which
shouldn't cost to much with most cell providers.
I'm surprised it's so low. However, do you mean 2-3 megabytes a month, a
day, a trip, or some other measure? Finally, is there any way at all to
eliminate all data usage for WFA? I mean, even if you have, say, a 4 or 8
gig card, would you be able to download all the maps/POIs/whatever other
information it needs for a specific area and not use the network at all? I
have asked this of WF themselves but have not received a response.
Thanks.
Aman

Sharon,
WFA can have very little GPRS data use, especially if you install the maps
for the area to which you live and those you travel within and around.

Hello,
I am in Peterborough, Ontario Canada.I don't care what provider I am with.
Currently with Bell but on pay as you go.I am wondering about the Sendero
GPS coming out with cell. The wayfinder I don't think is practical where I
live because of the monthly expenses that would be necessary to support GPS.
I am afraid I am not very technical.
Any suggestions appreciated.
If my needs are too specific to suit the list, please feel free to contact
off list.

Thank-you
Sharon
