I would only contradict that by saying that WFA doesn't need a limitless
data plan, as per my other message on the subject.

Hi, Sharon.
To start with, in what city and province are you, and would you like
to continue with your current provider, if any, or do you not care which
mobile provider you're with? Secondly, are you willing to sign up for a
three year contract or would you prefer to pay more up front but less over
the long term? Further, how much would you be willing to pay for a GPS
product running on a phone? There is a GPS product coming up, and indeed
there is one available now, but the one that's available now requires
unlimited internet access which isn't available from the GSM provider here
and the one that's coming up requires a Windows Mobile phone. Therefore, the
phone you buy now should be determined by what you want later. Finally, any
phone with a screen reader will allow you to set up your contacts and text
message.

Hello all,
I was using one of those phones that look like they are from the dinosaur
age-- analogue, large and clunky and most primitive basic but it is not
working so I have to do some quick research as I like to have the security
of the cell for emergencies. Due to the antequated nature of my old phone, I
did not use it a lot but would like to get to the 21st century.
I would like to be able to maintain an address book/contacts. i would like
to do texting if possible.
What sorts of questions do I need to ask? Cell providers have been at a loss
as to what to recommend.
Is there anything on the horizon to do GPS as well that is going to be
affordable? I understand cell phon rates in Canada are huge by contrast to
some places and that there is much to be considered.
Thanks for any advice.
Sharon
