Scott, don't know about the active standby as I don't use that. As for the other part, the program doesn't work in either or mode, it works all together. First press is the number and then another press goes to letter and so on. If you are looking for a persons name, just start typing like you would type out their name. If you are typing a phone number, just type out the phone number like normal and if it doesn't find that number in your contacts, then it will say call and then you just press the call button.   I just installed skyeQuikeys on my N82. There doesn't seem to be any help in
  the applications menu. How does one toggle between predictive text and
  number dial modes? Pound seems to change the mode into number dialing, but I
  then cannot get back into predictive dialing mode.
  It also seems to prevent talks from speaking the icons on the active standby
  screen of my phone and the soft keys from working properly. Thanks.
