... and the husband works for the Federal Communications commission. given
this, it seemed strange that she lacked a full command of the FCC cell
phone access regulations. These rules require manufacturers to deliver
cell phones with voice output for baisic calling functions without needing
to purchase additional software for access. she claims credit for AT&T
with voice Aid and other voice input and output features on the Nokia N75.
Yet, the N75 does not comply with the FCC's accessibility guidelines.
Some, but not all of the visually delivered information is accessible or
controllable by a blind end user through voice output or tactile controls.
is she really uninformed and not fully familiar or perhaps might it be her
job to paper over the the lack of affordable access and non-FCC access
compliant phones?
