Dolphin Software: A Viable U.S. Mobile Option?

I just reviewed a Dolphin presentation put on at last year's Sight
Village exhibit in Birmingham, England. I was quite impressed by the
quality of the presentation and the long-term track record that
Dolphin as a company seems to sport. But until yesterday I never knew
anything about their product lines. Depending on which type of phone
one chooses to purchase, the only games in town for accessibility
software to mainstream devices in the USA have appeared to be
MobileSpeak and Talks.
Can someone with a Windows Mobile-enabled smartphone here in the USA
still utilize Smart Hal as a screen reader? Can someone with an
off-the-shelf PDA in the USA use Pocket Hal? What do you more
experienced listers think about the advantages and drawbacks of the
Hal product line as compared with MobileSpeak—especially when it comes
to the PDA?
Until recently, I never knew that so many viable options were out
there for us, even in the PC screen reader department. If you're
visually impaired, it certainly is an exciting time to be out there on
the Information Superhighway, given all the choices.
Cheers,
-Kane
