Gene,
Have you considered obtaining accessible documentation for your phone?
Telecommunications Service providers and equipment manufacturers need to
provide documentation of their products to people with disabilities in the
format of the person's choice. To request this, it is best to contact
Nokia's accessibility representative. The name, postal and e-mail address
and telephone number of this person is available on the FCC website at
fcc.gov. From the home page go to disability/section 255 and then choose
the equipment manufacturer link for the document listing the accessibility
representatives.
If Nokia balks and refuses your request for accommodation, please post
again and let us know. We can then explain how you can file a disability
discrimination complaint against Nokia with the Federal Communications
Commission for free. Generally, the accessibility representatives from the
large manufacturers have been highly responsive to accessible documentation
requests.
