active sync repair

Are you logged in as an administrator? Also did you make sure you have
any software that prevents changes to the registry disabled such as the
Spybot teatimer?

does anybody know of a way to repair active sync? i just purchased 
the Shadow smartphone from t-mobile and it requires active sync but 
when i try to instll it i get the error that the wizzard was 
interupted and my windows wasn't modified to retry installing again, 
but that's what i get everytime i execute the setup program. thanks.
