Running Smart Hal's map files.

Well, I got the first situation with Hal straightened out, after having to perform a couple master resets, but am now attempting to use tcp media player, but can't figure out for the life of me how to get the map file to run.  I've gotten as far as copying and pasting it into the appropriate folder, and selecting it under the tools menu, but all my files I try to play keep coming up in media player, and I can't find the tcp media player anywhere.
  Is there someone on this list who can help me with this?
  I've had this problem with all their map files I've tried installing in the past, so whatever help someone can give me would really be appreciated.
