It probably comes down to the person did not know how to do it. On all Symbian series 60 phones; You
can assign ring tones to any person in your contact list.
The only thing is on the 3rd Edition phones; You must mute the screen reader before arrowing through
your ring tones other wise you will not hear them. That isn't saying you still can't go through them
and select one. Because you can. Also all 3rd Edition Nokia Symbian phones will let you turn on Say
Name in a profile and as long as the person is in your contact list; the phone will speak the name
of the person calling. So you wouldn't have to assign a ring tone if you didn't want to.
