22C to Screen Reader Phone Move

Hi,
I am interested in hearing from anyone who has moved from a 22C fone
from screenlessphone.com to a mainstream phone with either Talks or
Mobile Speaks. The 22C is so very easy to use, but has extremely
limited customizeability. In particular, how did you find texting
with a screen reader compared to the 22c. Is reading and composing a
text message on a mainstream phone far more complicated than on the 22C.
As an aside, my sighted daughter got a
verizon replacement phone yesterday and the difference in textin
sound alerts was night and day different. I was so envious of the
loud, repeated, customizable incoming text alert. The 22C is a good
beginner phone, but I can have it in my pocket and miss its very
anemic and feeble one tone message alert.
Thanks in advance for any replies,
Tom
