Built-in TTS vs MobileSpeak/Talks

Hello everyone,

I will be getting a phone soon for the Verizon network (as part of a
family plan), but as one who prefers to do a lot of research before
deciding on something that I have to live with for 2+ years, I am stuck
in that I am unable to find enough information online regarding what the
built-in text-to-speech does (or does not) do in the LG or Samsung or
whatever phones, and which phones can support MobileSpeak or Talks.

I went to the Mobile Corner (mentioned in another person's email) to
read about MobileSpeak and Talks, but that site seems to be directed
toward Nokia phones only and I could not find a reference to any other
manufacturers' phones being supported.

I asked two tech guys at the Verizon service center near my house about
TTS, and they knew nothing except that some newer phones have it
built-in... But what all does the built-in accessibility do? What does
it not do?

If you would be so kind, I would greatly appreciate suggestions on which
lines of phones available for Verizon are the most accessible and what
advantages there are in using MobileSpeak or Talks (if I can) on them.
I know that the choice of phones currently available keeps changing, but
if I had the names of similar models that you have found to work well,
at least that would be a starting point for finding the best choice
among the current offerings.

Thank you very much.
