Branded versus unbranded phones

my n95 did that to, it was really cool I thought I would have to call cust 
service and I hate doing that because a lot of our phone companies here have 
outsourced to india not fun when your a typical aussie trying to explain to 
them that you want ya wap settings.
but didn't have to worry after all.
