Thanks Jonathan. Offending devices is just about right. smile.
I just power-off the GSM phone when not in use.

Hi Bob, yes GSM, and other digital phones, can be pretty bad in this
respect. A lot can depend on the shielding both of the phone, and the other
device. In earlier times, it was impossible for hearing aid wearers to use
GSM phones, but they seem to have worked around that issue these days.
Every so often, your phone will make contact with the network even if you're
not on a call. But if it's happening very often, perhaps you have it
searching for Packet Data connections or performing some activity that is
causing more frequent contact than is necessary. The best thing is to try
and separate the two offending devices whenever possible.
Jonathan

Since getting my n75 I get the most annoying and intrusive intermittent
bursts of static rf on my home telephone.
the closer the N75 is to the corded phone, the louder the static noise.
I have to turn off the gsm phone to make it stop.
My brother has Verizen and reports the same phenomenon.
I don't know the kind of phone he has.
Anyone heard of this problem?
And what can be done to eliminate it?
Thanks,
Bob C. Berkeley CA.
