Thank you for being honest and providing us with updates. Also, thank you
for your willingness to dialogue with other companies to try to engage their
cooperation with issues such as these.

We have informed both companies of the current issue from the moment we
found out the cause of the problem, and asked for their assistance in
resolving it. We have done the same with Microsoft in our search for a
workaround we can implement ourselves to save time. They all said they'll
look into it. Note also that we have not closed this issue in our database
of things to work on, so don't worry that it's not being attended to. It's
just taking longer to address because there are other companies involved.
Thanks for your continued support.

Do you know if there is anyway Motorola, MSS, and/or HumanWare could work
together to resolve this issue? I think this would be a major break through
for those of who have a Q and an mPower. I think it would allow for
individuals to enhance their experiences with MSS even more; I know it would
for me personally.
Sincerely,
Katie

Subject: RE: Code Factory's 2007 Year-End Summary
The problem with BrailleNote mPower and the Motorola Q is that the
BrailleNote, unlike other Braille devices we support, requires the creation
of an incoming COM port on the device before the Bluetooth partnership is
established. Unlike other Braille devices also, the Bluetooth pairing is
initiated on the BrailleNote, as the master device, rather than on the
phone. This is fine with some devices, but the Motorola Q does not allow for
the creation of incoming COM ports. Therefore, in order for this issue to be
addressed, either the BrailleNOte allows itself to be the slave device and
let the Bluetooth partnership be initiated on the WM device, or that the Q
is able to create an incoming port for the BrailleNOte to interface through.

I think it's good to see this annual report, and I look forward to seeing
what 2008 has in store for Code Factory.
I do think it is worth noting however, the Braillenote mPower is not
supported using the Motorola Q.
I would like to see an accessible GPS for those running MSS on networks such
as Verizon Wireless...

2007 Year-End Summary
CODE FACTORY, S.L.
Terrassa (Barcelona), January 7, 2008
Dear users, distributors and partners,
In just four years since Code Factory first focused on providing the blind
and visually impaired with access to mainstream mobile devices, we have
successfully delivered groundbreaking products which have further
consolidated our lead in the access technology (AT) market each year. Now as
the year 2007 draws to a close, we would like to share with you our
accomplishments for the past twelve months in terms of amazing product
releases and user experience strategies, as well as important alliances and
partnerships with AT companies, mainstream companies, mobile phone network
operators, and national organizations for the blind.
Our objective for 2007 was to innovate in our products and services, and
thus make our software solutions intuitively accessible, readily available,
and economically practical to directly benefit the blind and visually
impaired. With customer feedback carefully taken into consideration. We
definitely succeeded in achieving this goal by launching the new
User-Centered Licensing system for the Windows Mobile Smartphone platform,
supporting 20 Braille devices and close to 400 phone models, partnering with
carriers in different countries such as AT&T in the USA and Cosmote in
Greece, making strategic alliances with companies like Wayfinder and Nokia,
and implementing support for digital audio and Braille books from Audible
and Bookshare.org.
We also improved our marketing approach by aiming to strengthen customer
relationships and enhance Code Factorys presence in different key areas.
Our combined sales and marketing efforts led to more company representatives
attending major international events in the AT industry in Europe and North
America, more product presentations conducted in person and online by
partners and distributors, several competitions for users to win great
prizes, and the launch of a new website designed for greater accessibility
and usability in providing information about our product line.
We recognize that our achievements in 2007 would not have been possible
without your unwavering support, and so we share with you the account of our
success this year.

Sales and company facts:
* The exceptional growth in revenues for our mobile phone product line
has been fuelled by the 20% increase in monthly sales for Mobile Speak
Symbian and the tripled number of sold licenses for Mobile Speak Smartphone,
indicating that hundreds more blind people are enjoying access to mainstream
cell phones today because of Code Factory products.
* In total we now have more than 150 distributors in more than 70
countries throughout Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, Australia and the
South Pacific.
* Code Factory remains the only company to support all mainstream
embedded platforms, thus supporting CDMA-based phones apart from those on
GSM and WCDMA networks.
* As a result of supporting the Nokia built-in TTS and text-to-speech
engines from providers like Rosasoft, Code Factory is currently making
mobile speech solutions available in 24 new languages in the market (Hebrew,
Hindi, Urdu, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Farsi, Indonesian, Malay,
Filipino, Thai, Vietnamese, Bengali, Lithuanian, Latvian, Belarussian,
Bulgarian, Estonian, Hungarian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Romanian, and
Ukrainian), in addition to the more than 20 languages already supported in
previous years. This breakthrough confirms Code Factorys commitment to
bring accessibility of mobile phones to the blind and visually impaired,
even those in countries that are traditionally not provided with AT
solutions in their native language.
* An important agreement has been signed with Medialog to make Mobile
Speak available with the Acapela voice Salma in Arabic-speaking countries.
* Our products are offered by major mobile phone network operators in
different countries worldwide such as AT&T, Vodafone Spain, Telefonica, SFR,
Bouygues Telecom, TMN, and Cosmote.
We are confident that with your help, Code Factory will continue to be the
world leader in accessibility products for mobile technologies. In 2008, we
will endeavor to offer more innovations and carry out our mission of moving
accessibility forward in order to make a difference in the lives of the
blind and visually impaired.
Thank you for your support in making each year a success!
Yours in commitment to accessibility,
The Code Factory Team
