Some Q and Mobile Speak questions

Thank you for responding to my questions.
Does anyone know if it would somehow be possible to contact Motorola about
the issue of not having speech during a call? That was something I was
looking forward to having, as it seems people may call me to ask for another
individuals number, or maybe I want to do other things while talking on the
phone...
Happy 2008!
Katie

Katie, you cannot have speech with the Q or any of its variations. It is
something to do with Motorola and not MSS
You modify keys to get punctuations and numbers with the key below "A".
Pressed once will modify the following key and pressing it twice will modify
everything until you press it again, like caps lock works.
I wonder if you might be bumping the key that switches you from speaker
phone and back. On the older Q that would be very bottom row far right. I
believe the Q9M has it just to the right of the spacebar.
The best!

Subject: Some Q and Mobile Speak questions
Hello:
I am using a Motorola Q with Mobile Speak for Windows Smart phones, and I
have a few questions:
1. My phone is set to deliver speech output during a call, however, last
night while talking with a friend and trying to do something on the Q, I
discovered I had no speech output during a call. Is this an issue with MSS,
or the Q its self? Is their a solution for this, and has anyone else had
this issue?
2. When entering information into my contacts, and/or into a text message,
I seem to be unable to insert punctuation and/or numerical symbols. Could
someone please enlighten me as to how to do this on the Q? I tried pressing
what I thought was the function key, but I then was placed in a different
window...
3. Finally, I have noticed from time to time my profile will go from normal
to speaker phone, or vice versa, even if I have not adjusted it; I'm just
curious to know if this is just something quirky with me and my phone, or if
this has happened to anyone else as well...
Thank you for taking the time to read this message, and I look forward to
hearing your responses.
Sincerely,
Katie
