Question for a friend about Talks

Hi,
I have a friend that's very interested in getting Talks, but he wants to get 
the right phone for it.  He was wondering if certain phones work better with 
Talks than others.  He wants to know this for overall performance,  ease of 
navigation, and ease of use.  Thanks for any help.
