how can you tell if its symbian?

Generally Nokia phone are Symbian based, let the list or I know if you need
for things to be more specific.

Subject says it all. How can you tell if a phone is a symbian phone or not? 
more specifically a symbian series60 phone? Also, how big are wayFinder
access maps and how large of an area do they cover? I want to pick the
cheapest phone that will run mobile speak, and wayFinder access gps.
