Hello Isaac,

AutoSIS is not the Mobile Speak installer, but an application that allows
you to install Mobile Speak, the TTS voice, and other components using your
PC and the memory card (not the same as the SIM card) of your phone accessed
with a card reader attached to the PC via USB. AutoSIS will install all
Mobile speak components on to the memory card, and then you just need to
insert this card into your phone, switch on the phone, and Mobile speak will
be up and running. We provided this method of installation especially to
make it easy for dealers and carriers we partnered with to install Mobile
Speak on several phones without actually having the phones with them, and if
they want, just send the memory card to the customer and instruct them how
to insert it.

If you do not have a card reader, then you will need to connect the phone
to your PC which needs to have Nokia PC suite installed. You can establish
this connection with the data cable or via Bluetooth. Another way of
installing the application, without using Nokia PC Suite, is to transfer the
files from the PC to the phone, using either Bluetooth or infrared, or just
copy the installer files to the memory card using Windows Explorer on the
PC. If you transfer the files to the phone, however, you will need to
navigate to where the installer files are copied / transferred to, and press
the Action button on your phone (center of the joystick) to run each file.

Third-party applications, including mobile Speak, can be installed either on
the phone's main memory or on a memory card, if you have one, but not on the
SIM card. It is recommended getting a memory card for your phone, not just
to store files in but also to install programs. It doesn't only keep the
phone memory free for running applications and storing data that cannot be
saved to the memory card, but it also prevents your phone from having
boot-up problems in case a third-party application you have installed gets
corrupted and stops your phone from starting up. In such cases, if the
problem application had been installed to the memory card, you can just
remove the memory card and then turn on the phone.

As for the installer you need to download, it should be the Mobile Speak
installer for the text-to-speech voice for which you have a license. Mobile
Speak licenses are TTS-specific. Go to
http://www.codefactory.es/en/downloads.asp?id=40
In the screens of this download wizard, select the brand (Nokia) and model
(6620) of your phone, the TTS language you are getting an installer for
(English may already be selected by default), and under the heading for
"Software", click on the link displaying the name of the TTS voice (For
example, "US English Fonix").

The upgrade instructions are at

rsion.txt
To uninstall Mobile Speak components from your phone, go to Tools > App
Manager, arrow to the component you want to remove, press the Left softkey
(key to the left of the joystick) for Options, arrow down to "Remove, press
Action key, and follow the instructions. Remember that when you hear Mobile
Speak say "Button 1", then the name of the assigned function, it is
referring to the left softkey, not the number 1 key. Similarly, what it
calls "Button 2" is the right softkey found to the right of the joystick.

For more information on installation and upgrading, Mobile speak commands
and how to perform them, as well as a device description for the key layout
of this phone, refer to the Mobile Speak user's manual at

Hi guys:
A series of questions...
I have mobilespeak version 1.0 on the N6620 and I downloaded something
called autosis 3.40. Is this the correct upgrade?
2. It says if your previous version is on a card remove it. Mine wasn't on a
simcard. So what do I do here?
3. I don't have a data cable. I was told I could upgrade with bluetooth. Is
this correct?
No, my computer isn't bluetooth compatible yet, but I do have the software
and the dongle to do it. But I don't really want to do it. I am going to
look for a data cable. Any ideas on this?
Thanks.
Isaac
