Fist of all; I will try to answer your questions in order.
q: What screen reader are you using on that N82 Nokia
cell phone to run emtube software?
A: Currently MobileSpeak and Talks is about to come out with a patch version that will also work.
Q: My guess is all mobile phones connect via USB cable?
A: No all phone do not connect by USB cable. Some can do Bluetooth and IR as well.
q: Do most mobile phones appear as a drive letter when connected to
the computer?
A: The newer Symbian phones can look like a drive letter only if you initially select mass storage.
Other wire they do not look like a drive letter.
Q: To install software on mobile phones like emtube I am guessing
you install on the phone's install directory then run the .exe
file?
A: The Symbian software for MobileSpeak and Talks come as a SIS file and not a EXE file. You do not
need to copy it to the phone first. The software that you install on the PC will know what to do
with a SIS file and will send it to the phone when you press enter on the PC.
Q: What's the speech output like with Code Factory software. Do
they use Eloquence?
A: No MobileSpeak does not use Eloquence. Talks uses Eloquence. MobileSpeak uses DecTalk along with
some other voices. You can hear what they sound like by going to their web site. www.mobilespeak.com
Q: I hear A T &T has made a deal with Code Factory.
A: That is correct.
Keep in mind; Both Talks and MobileSpeak will giv you a 30 day trial code so that you can try both
packages. That away you can see what package meets your needs the best and also make sure that the
phone is working correctly.
