Buying My First Phone

the other consideration is to determine if the LG phones with speech, such
as the LG VX-8300 and 8350, that Verizon sells are some of the least
expensive units. Many providers offer a free or nearly free phone for
sighted users who want basic voice calling services. My observation is
that phones with speech are not at the lowest pricepoints. If that is the
situation here, consider filing a complaint with the Federal communications
commission against LG and Verizon for failing to distribute and manufacture
a phone accessible to the blind comparable in price to the least expensive
phone available to sighted customers. The complaint may be resolved by
obtaining a phone with speech without needing to pay for the access
premium. As mentioned earlier, Jenifer Simpson of the American Association
for People with Disabilities can assist in compiling and filing the
complaint. contact information was provided earlier. Let me know if you
would like me to send it again.
