e61 & mobile speak commands

Hi Jonathan and othe E61 and E62 users,

Just wanted to let you know that me made a change in Mobile Speak v3.32 to
address this shift key issue. These phones have 2 shift keys: left shift
(bottom row and second key from the left) and right shift (bottom row and
second key from the right). We've changed this so that only the left shift
key is used as the Mobile Speak edit key in v3.32. The right shift key has
it's normal functioning, so you can use it to make upper case characters,
etc.

We did forget to make this change to the E61i in v3.32. However, this has
now been included too, so will be there for the next release. But as
mentioned, it is already changed for the E61 and E62.

Cheers,
Wil

Hi Larry, I'm holding my breath as well, waiting for the Truphone rates. But
boy, you couldn't really tell you were talking over the Internet with that
thing.

For whatever reason, Mobile Speak uses the shit key as its modifier key on
the E61 and E61I. Sadly I agree that this makes it really difficult to use
with this phone, since every time you want to write an upper case letter,
you have to double click the shift key.

Talks by contrast uses the symbols key on the bottom right of the keyboard,
which is seldom used. I know Code Factory monitor this list so it would be
great if they would consider changing this behaviour at some point.

I am continuing to evaluate mobile speaks with my nokia e61. I can't seem
to get the edit key to work at all thus I can't issue any commands from the
keyboard. Is this reader ready for the e61? I would also like to thank
Jonathan for the excellent information he provides here. Truphone is a very
good program I hope the rates won't be to high when fees are charged after
feb.
thanks again for the help with mobile speaks.
Larry
