unable to send email from the q m9

Hello all:
I am having a problem and would very much appreciated if someone could please shed some light on this and if there is a possible solution.
I am using the q m9 on the vzw network.
I have configured email so that I can send and receive.
I started with a google account everything was working good for a while but now that I try to send emails I am unable to and the below is the error that I get.
"the following errors occurred while sending and receiving messages. The messages cannot be send. Be certain that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct and then try again."
then i thought it was a problem with the google server so then I configured my comcast act. it worked for a couple of times but then the error happened again.
all my info is correct i even checked settings the only thing i am not able to see is the port in and out settings.
the problem mostly happened on google a least when sending messages.
was going to pay for the yahoo mailing service but i am starting to think all of this has to do with the phone/settings and not the actual mail servers.
again I would greatly appreciate some assistance.
